Mission, values & strategy
WHO WE ARE
Building a Caring Future Together
Our values
Our strategy
Real estate
We consciously strive for:
- The development of a well-balanced and diversified real estate portfolio, both geographically and across various operators, which we hold for the long term.
- Strengthening our public and private partnerships. We can rely on many years of experience with numerous local authorities, which gives us a unique position within our sector.
- Exploring new opportunities within the European Economic Area (EEA) to further expand our presence and increase our impact, in addition to our activities in Belgium, The Netherlands, Spain and Ireland.
- Providing fast, tailor-made solutions, thanks to our extensive expertise and the short lines of communication with our clients, the care operators.
Financial
We continue to expand our carefully composed healthcare real estate portfolio so that our shareholders can continue to enjoy an attractive dividend yield.
It is our ambition to be a leading player in our market and to create sustainable value. To this end, we strive for:
- Favourable financing conditions for both equity and debt, supported by our defensive risk profile.
- An active dialogue with investors, lenders and other stakeholders.
- A debt ratio not exceeding 50%, with an acceptable level of interest rate risk.
- A responsible operating margin through efficient management.
Sustainability
- Our ambition is to be a pioneer in sustainability within the healthcare real estate sector. Today, we already have one of the youngest and most energy-efficient real estate portfolios in the sector in Belgium. At the same time, we are preparing for future challenges, such as the growing demand for high-quality care real estate, climate change and energy transition.
- At Care Property Invest, we base our sustainability approach on three pillars: investing in sustainable buildings, building lasting relationships and leading through ethical practices. Our concrete and measurable objectives ensure that sustainability is embedded in both our strategy and our daily operations. In doing so, we not only create value for our investors, but also have a positive impact on society and the environment.
- Even though Care Property Invest is not legally required to report on sustainability, we have consciously chosen to continue reporting on a voluntary basis. This allows us to inform our stakeholders transparently about our sustainability performance.
