Social engagement and sponsorship
Social engagement is an important component of the ESG policy of Care Property Invest. Through targeted sponsorship initiatives, we support projects that contribute to care, wellbeing and social cohesion.
AAP vzw – how dogs make a difference
Believing in the positive impact animals can have on people, Care Property Invest supports AAP vzw through a three‑year sponsorship programme. This commitment enables the deployment of six Animal Assisted Intervention (AAI) teams in various residential care centres. Each ‘cuddle team’ consists of a handler and an animal and pays, on average, twenty wellbeing‑enhancing visits per year to residents. The programme is co‑financed through internal fundraising initiatives, including sales activities, sporting events, a quiz and the anniversary celebration ’30 years of CPI’. In 2025, these initiatives raised more than €6,400 in total, an amount that was doubled by Care Property Invest. In this way, AAP vzw can further professionalise its operations, while we contribute to warm, people‑centred care environments with greater wellbeing, joy and connection.
Volunteer days in practice
During volunteer days, our employees actively engage in residential care centres. They support daily activities such as meals, assist with wheelchair walks and outings, and create additional moments of enjoyment through music and games. Seasonal initiatives, such as creating a warm atmosphere during the year‑end period, are also part of this commitment. In this way, our employees make a tangible contribution to the wellbeing of residents.
Together for a tidy, liveable neighbourhood
Every year, CPI actively participates in World Cleanup Day, the largest global clean-up campaign. Through local initiatives, such as litter picking in Schoten, our employees take to the streets equipped with litter pickers and rubbish bags. This is our tangible contribution to a clean and pleasant living environment, in line with our sustainability values.
Sustainable Stories: the story of Spider, the climate heroine
Care Property Invest supports Sustainable Stories, an initiative that raises children’s awareness of sustainability and social issues through storytelling and education. As part of this commitment, Care Property Invest is also a proud sponsor of the children’s book ‘Spin wordt klimaatheldin’ (Spider becomes a climate heroine’), which was published in November 2025. In this child‑friendly story, young readers discover how cooperation, creativity and small actions can contribute to positive change for the climate. The book is available through the channels of Sustainable Stories and at Standaard Boekhandel.
Supporting inclusive employment at TWERK
For many years, Care Property Invest has been supporting TWERK, a sheltered workshop based in Herentals (Belgium). In the past period, Care Property Invest contributed €10,840 through a donation to a broader fundraising campaign aimed at modernising production machinery and developing adapted tools for people with autism. The collaboration with TWERK is structural and continues today through the purchase of customised chocolates for trade fairs, marketing activities and festive occasions such as Easter and Saint Nicholas.
